Sebastián Cox is a Chilean born, Toronto-based visual artist. He has a BFA in Visual Arts from York University in Toronto, he majored in interdisciplinary art and painting. He has held group exhibits in Canada and Chile, including installations, interdisciplinary performances, paintings and photography shows.

Corazón de Pan

CULTURAL MANAGER

Sebastian is a cultural manager and educator with wide-ranging experience in film, photography,
and community arts. He has curated and directed programs such as the Film Forum at 38
Cameron in Boston and the Human Rights Watch Traveling Film Series, fostering dialogue
around Culture and Human Rights through film. In Chile, between 2014 and 2016, he created
and led workshops in private schools and rural settings, introducing children and youth to stop-
motion and filmmaking.

Earlier in his career, Sebastian taught photography and visual arts at community centers and
cultural institutions in Toronto, including Gallery 44, where he also developed projects and
secured funding to support work with Latin American youth. His volunteer experience includes
art instruction in Santiago’s shantytowns and cultural programming in Boston, underscoring his
dedication to social impact and the transformative power of the arts.

ART DIRECTOR

Sebastian is an art director and designer with over 20 years of international experience in branding, digital and print design.

Between 1995 and 2005, he worked in Canada and the United States as an art director, designer and photographic post-producer for companies such as DGI Invisuals, Fidelity Investments, and Staples, as well as on advertising projects for global brands. These roles gave him a strong foundation in visual communication, corporate identity, and large-format advertising. In 2005, he founded Cox-Studio, a boutique design company specializing in corporate identity, web and print design.

Since then, he has led projects for clients in North America, Chile, andGermany, delivering tailored design solutions that combine strategic thinking with creative execution. Some of their clients include Dena (Deutsche Energie Agentur) and Green Energy World in Germany; TW Promotions and Equinox in the U.S.; and Avanta Capital and Gacel in Chile.

He served as art director and official designer for the Boston Latino International Film Festival, and designed visual identities for events like the United Nations Human Rights Film Festival and the World Social Forum film series in Boston.
